WELCOME TO IFES

The International Field Emission Society has been in activity since 1952 and counts hundreds of members worldwide. IFES is the organizer of the APT&M meeting. The main mission of the society is to organise a symposium, held every two years, and to promote the latest scientific and technical developments in high-field nanoscience and atom probe tomography. The two last Atom Probe Tomography & Microscopy symposia took place in 2020 at Oxford University (UK) and in 2021 at Pacific North West National Laboratory (USA), (Both in a virtual format due to the COVID crisis). The next conference (to be defined) is planned also in a virtual format.
